Mad Man Marketing by John Erickson
Simply put I love work.  People have called me mad since I am task driven and will not stop tell I accomplish the goals set forth.  How you say I use creativity, passions,sincerity professional, persistent, and accountably.
 


In 1985 after graduating college from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.  I began my search for a start-up company where I could use my energy and creativity.   I found Atronic Alarms, owned by Perry Atha, and had one employee in it's second year.  At my first interview with Perry Atha,  I asked him if he had ever seen the movie "Jeremiah Johnson" with Robert Redford in it.  He replied, "yes."   I then asked him if he remembers the scene where the seasoned old mountain man ask  Robert Redford's character if he can "skin."   Redford replied, " I can skin anything you bring me."   The old mountain man leaves the cabin, suddenly you hear laughter from the cold snowy wilderness and you  hear him running through the snow.  He runs into the cabin with a large angry grizzly bear chasing him as he jumps throw the front window he  says, " skin that pilgrim."   

I told Perry, "I will find them if you can skin them."  For  the next twenty-three years he called my sales, "GRIZ."   Three days after I started my new marketing career I sold my first alarms and kept going. 

During the next  twenty-three years I was able to refine my natural skills of sales and strengthen my skills as a marketer.   My proven niche, is that I have the ability to create brand recognition, value, and quality with very limited resources.   Increasing sales and closing ratios which increases profits.  Of course the growth of the company was a collective effort. Not one person can be take the credit for growth and recognition that a company achieves.  However, there is a passion and drive that characterizes success that only a few ever achieve.

So the question become how much Griz  do you want?
